Government Restores RoDTEP Benefits to Support Exporters

Amid ongoing geopolitical challenges in West Asia affecting maritime routes and increasing freight costs, the Government of India has reinstated full rates and value caps under the RoDTEP (Remission of Duties and Taxes on Exported Products) scheme.

Effective March 23, 2026, exporters will receive benefits at the same rates applicable on February 22, 2026, reversing the earlier 50% cap imposed through Notification No. 60/2025–26 dated February 23, 2026.

The latest notification supersedes the previous order and its corrigendum issued on February 24, 2026, except for actions already undertaken. This step is aimed at providing timely relief to exporters facing higher shipping costs and uncertainties due to disruptions in the Gulf and wider West Asia trade corridors, while reinforcing India’s commitment to a stable and supportive export environment.
