India Aim to Bounce Back Against Ireland as Sooryavanshi Awaits Possible Debut

India will face Ireland in the second T20 International at the Civil Service Cricket Club in Belfast on Sunday, hoping to keep the two-match series alive after a disappointing 34-run defeat in the opener. The loss was a historic one, marking India's first-ever international defeat to Ireland across all formats and an underwhelming start to Shreyas Iyer's tenure as T20I captain.

India's bowling attack failed to capitalize on promising moments in the first game, with Prasidh Krishna conceding 57 runs in his four overs, including a costly 27-run over. The team management is now expected to replace him with young pacer Prince Yadav, who could make his international debut.

The biggest talking point, however, remains 15-year-old batting prodigy Vaibhav Sooryavanshi. While fans are eager to see the teenager make his India debut, reports suggest the visitors are likely to retain their top-order combination and instead focus on strengthening their bowling attack.

Washington Sundar, who had a quiet outing with both bat and ball in the first T20I, is expected to retain his place in the playing XI.

Probable India XI: Abhishek Sharma, Sanju Samson (wk), Ishan Kishan, Shreyas Iyer (c), Tilak Varma, Shivam Dube, Axar Patel, Harshit Rana, Prince Yadav, Ravi Bishnoi, Arshdeep Singh.

Probable Ireland XI: Tim Tector, Ross Adair, Harry Tector, Lorcan Tucker (c & wk), Ben Calitz, Gareth Delany, George Dockrell, Matthew Humphreys, Matt Hollard, Liam McCarthy, Jai Moondra.

With the series on the line, India will be desperate to produce a much-improved performance, while Ireland will look to script history by securing their maiden T20I series victory over the Men in Blue.
