TMC Expels MLAs Ritobrata Banerjee and Sandipan Saha Amid Internal Row
Sandipan Saha Raises Serious Questions Over Alleged Irregularities Within Party Proceedings
The Trinamool Congress (TMC) has expelled two of its legislators, Ritobrata Banerjee and Sandipan Saha, from the party, triggering fresh political controversy in West Bengal.
Ritobrata Banerjee is the MLA from Uluberia Purba, while Sandipan Saha represents the Entally constituency. The party’s decision to remove the two leaders has sparked discussions over internal functioning and alleged procedural lapses within the organisation.
Following the expulsion, Sandipan Saha publicly raised serious concerns regarding alleged irregularities inside the party. He claimed that signatures of individuals who were not present at a meeting had allegedly been included in an official proposal.
Calling it a “major mistake,” Saha questioned the transparency of the process and demanded accountability. According to him, responsibility for the alleged discrepancy must be fixed to ensure fairness and proper functioning within the party structure.
The Trinamool Congress has not yet issued a detailed public response to Saha’s allegations. The development is expected to intensify political debate in the state, particularly over internal discipline and decision-making within the ruling party.
