New Delhi, June 1: The All India Students’ Association (AISA) on Monday organized a protest march outside the Ministry of Education in New Delhi, raising concerns over alleged irregularities and examination-related controversies involving competitive and academic exams such as NEET, SSC, CBSE, CUET, and others.

The protest was held to demand accountability over repeated allegations of paper leaks, discrepancies in score calculations, and broader concerns surrounding the examination system. Demonstrators also called for the resignation of Union Education Minister , accusing the government of failing to address recurring issues affecting students.

According to AISA, the march was met with police intervention when protesters reached the vicinity of the Ministry of Education. The student organization alleged that police personnel used force against demonstrators, detained several activists, and later took them to Kapashera Police Station. AISA claimed that detained students and activists were kept at the police station for several hours without clear information regarding their release.

AISA leaders strongly criticized the functioning of the National Testing Agency (NTA) and the government’s handling of examination-related controversies. Neha, AISA National President, alleged that the NTA reflects deep-rooted negligence and corruption within the education system, calling it a reflection of the government’s education policy.

AISA Delhi University Secretary Anjali claimed that instead of addressing repeated allegations of paper leaks, the government was attempting to suppress dissent and delegitimize student protests.

Saavy, AISA Delhi Joint Secretary, stated that the resignation of the Education Minister was necessary for ensuring a better future for students and improving the education system. Former JNUSU President Nitish argued that stronger structural reforms were needed, including the dissolution of the NTA to prevent future paper leaks.

Meanwhile, AISA leaders also criticized remarks allegedly made against students and youth, claiming that such statements reflect a growing disconnect between authorities and young people.

In its concluding appeal, AISA urged students and youth across the country to unite against examination irregularities and demand greater transparency and accountability in the education system. The organization reiterated its demand for the immediate resignation of Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan over continued controversies surrounding examinations.
