Stolen LPG Cylinder Truck Recovered in Jhansi; Seven Arrested

In a significant breakthrough, police in Jhansi have recovered a truck loaded with 524 LPG cylinders that had been stolen on March 6. Authorities also arrested seven individuals allegedly involved in the theft and the attempted illegal sale of the cylinders.

According to police officials, the accused had struck a deal with a local gas agency to sell the stolen cylinders for around ₹13 lakh. During the investigation, police recovered ₹12 lakh in cash from those involved in the transaction.

The stolen truck, along with all 524 cylinders, has been successfully recovered, marking what officials described as a 100% recovery in the case.

Police said the swift action helped prevent the illegal distribution of the cylinders and exposed an organized group involved in the theft and resale of LPG supplies. Further investigation is underway to determine whether the gang was connected to similar incidents in the region.
