PM Narendra Modi Pays Tribute to Biju Patnaik on Birth Anniversary

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday paid tribute to legendary freedom fighter and former Odisha Chief Minister Biju Patnaik on the occasion of his birth anniversary, remembering his dedication to the development of the state.

In a message shared on the social media platform X, the Prime Minister honoured Biju Patnaik’s legacy and acknowledged his contribution to the progress of Odisha.

“On his birth anniversary today, I pay tributes to Shri Biju Patnaik Ji and remember his passion towards furthering the progress of Odisha,” Modi wrote. Biju Patnaik, a towering political figure and freedom fighter, served as the Chief Minister of Odisha twice and played a significant role in shaping the state’s political and developmental landscape. Known for his bold leadership and vision, he was widely respected for his commitment to public service and national interests.

Leaders from across the political spectrum also remembered Patnaik’s contributions and paid homage to the veteran leader on his birth anniversary.

Biju Patnaik is also remembered as the father of Naveen Patnaik, who later became one of Odisha’s longest-serving chief ministers. His legacy continues to influence the state’s political and social life.
