NTA Extends Deadline for CUET UG 2026 Photo Verification Certificate Submission

New Delhi | April 15, 2026 : The National Testing Agency has extended the deadline for submitting the photo verification certificate for CUET UG 2026, providing relief to thousands of applicants. The new deadline has been set for April 16, 2026, replacing the earlier cut-off date of April 10.

The extension has been granted to ensure that candidates facing issues with photo discrepancies get additional time to complete the verification process. Applicants whose uploaded photographs did not match their official photo identification have been advised to log in to the official portal — cuet.nta.nic.in — and upload a corrected image within the revised timeline.

Officials stated that the decision was taken in the interest of students, allowing them sufficient time to rectify errors and avoid complications during the examination process.

The Common University Entrance Test (CUET) UG 2026 is scheduled to be conducted between May 11 and May 31, 2026. The exam serves as a crucial gateway for undergraduate admissions into central and participating universities across India.

Candidates are encouraged to complete the required formalities well before the extended deadline to ensure a smooth application process and avoid last-minute technical issues.
