Mohali Woman Stabbed to Death by Ex-Boyfriend Inside Office, Incident Captured on CCTV

A 30-year-old woman was allegedly stabbed to death by her former boyfriend and colleague inside a private company office in Punjab’s Mohali on Thursday evening. The horrifying attack, which unfolded in front of coworkers, was captured on CCTV cameras installed at the office.

According to police, the accused, identified as Harjinder Singh Mann, allegedly attacked the victim, Dimple, following an argument at the workplace. Both worked at a private courier company and were reportedly in a relationship that had ended some time ago.

Preliminary investigations suggest Harjinder had been struggling to accept the breakup and had allegedly made repeated attempts to reconcile with Dimple. Police suspect emotional distress after failed reconciliation efforts may have led to the fatal incident.

Authorities said the confrontation escalated late Thursday evening, following which Harjinder allegedly stabbed Dimple multiple times despite coworkers attempting to intervene. After attacking her, he allegedly stabbed himself in an apparent suicide attempt but survived.

Police reached the spot around 7:40 pm and found both individuals critically injured. They were rushed to Fortis Hospital, where doctors declared Dimple dead. Harjinder remains hospitalised in critical condition.

A murder case has been registered, and investigators have launched a detailed probe. CCTV footage from the office has been seized, while forensic teams are examining evidence to reconstruct the sequence of events and determine the motive behind the crime.
