ABVP Protests Outside NTA Headquarters Over Alleged NEET-UG Paper Leak

New Delhi, May 13, 2026: The Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) staged a massive protest outside the National Testing Agency (NTA) headquarters in Delhi on Tuesday, demanding justice for students affected by the alleged NEET-UG paper leak and raising concerns over repeated irregularities in national-level examinations.

According to ABVP Delhi, the protest was organized to highlight what the student organization described as a “grave tampering” with the future of lakhs of aspirants. During the demonstration, several ABVP activists and students were reportedly detained after Delhi Police used force to disperse the protesters.

The student body alleged that recurring discrepancies in competitive examinations are severely impacting the trust and future of students across the country. ABVP stated that the alleged paper leak in a crucial examination like NEET-UG reflects deeper concerns regarding the credibility and security of the examination system.

The organization demanded a fair, transparent, and time-bound investigation into the matter. It also urged authorities to make all findings public so that the entire network involved in the alleged malpractice can be exposed and strict action can be taken against those responsible.

ABVP further criticized the dependence of national examination agencies on private firms for sensitive responsibilities such as printing question papers, managing examination centres, and staffing operations. According to the organization, outsourcing such critical functions increases the possibility of security lapses and repeated incidents.

Speaking on the issue, ABVP Delhi State Secretary Sarthak Sharma said that attempts were being made to suppress student voices instead of ensuring accountability in a matter directly linked to the future of lakhs of candidates.

“It is extremely unfortunate that instead of fixing accountability on such a sensitive issue concerning the future of students, attempts are being made to suppress their voices. ABVP has always stood for student interests and will continue to fight for the rights of the 22 lakh candidates affected by the NEET-UG paper leak until justice is served,” Sharma said.

He further added that despite being a national agency, the NTA’s dependence on private companies remains a matter of concern. Sharma demanded an impartial probe and strict punitive action against those involved to prevent similar incidents in the future.
