IBPS Announces Recruitment for 6,000+ Banking Positions Across India

The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) has released a major notification for over 6,000 vacancies in various public sector banks across India.

IBPS has announced the much-awaited recruitment notification for Probationary Officers (PO), Clerks, and Specialist Officers in participating public sector banks for the year 2025-26.

The recruitment drive covers the following positions:

• Probationary Officers (PO): 2,500 positions
• Clerical Cadre: 3,000 positions
• Specialist Officers (SO): 500+ positions including IT Officers, Agricultural Officers, Law Officers, HR/Personnel Officers, and Marketing Officers

Eligibility Criteria

For PO: Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized university with minimum 55% marks.

For Clerk: A degree from a recognized university or equivalent qualification. Working knowledge of computer operations is mandatory.

For Specialist Officers: Candidates should have relevant qualifications and experience in their respective specializations.

Age Limit

• PO & Clerk: 20-30 years as of November 1, 2025
• Specialist Officers: 20-35 years with relaxation as per rules

Selection Process

The selection will be conducted in three phases:

1. Preliminary Examination: Online objective test
2. Main Examination: Online objective test with higher difficulty level
3. Interview: Only for PO and SO positions
