Indian Employees Are Hardworking and Disciplined, Says Emaar Founder Mohamed Alabbar
Dubai billionaire Mohamed Alabbar says Indians stand out for their dedication, discipline, and willingness to go the extra mile at work.
Dubai-based billionaire and founder of Emaar Properties, Mohamed Alabbar, has gone viral after praising Indian employees for their strong work ethic and commitment. Speaking at the “Make it in the Emirates” event in Abu Dhabi, Alabbar said he enjoys hiring Indians because they are hardworking, disciplined, and highly dedicated to their jobs.
Alabbar, whose company built the iconic Burj Khalifa, said success is driven not only by talent but also by consistency, discipline, and smart decision-making. He described himself as someone with “average intelligence” who strongly believes in the power of hard work.
Praising Indian professionals, he remarked that they take their responsibilities seriously and are willing to work regardless of the time. In a light-hearted comment, he said, “I like hiring Indians because they even answer calls at 1 AM.”
At the same time, Alabbar emphasized that hard work should also be balanced with smart planning. He said businesses must understand opportunities, take calculated risks, and stay prepared for difficult times, citing the 2008 financial crisis and the COVID-19 pandemic as examples.
His comments sparked mixed reactions online. While many applauded Indian employees for their dedication, others stressed the importance of maintaining a healthy work-life balance.
