Prime Minister Narendra Modi interacted with members of the Indian community in South Africa, acknowledging their active involvement in various community organisations and their contribution to strengthening India–South Africa ties.

During the interaction, community representatives shared their experiences on social, cultural and developmental issues, while expressing appreciation for India’s progress across multiple sectors. PM Modi praised their commitment and urged them to continue enhancing people-to-people linkages, which he described as a vital pillar of bilateral relations.

The Prime Minister encouraged the diaspora to promote Indian cultural traditions in South Africa, particularly Yoga, Ayurveda, and other heritage practices. He also urged greater participation from South Africans in the Bharat Ko Janiye (Know India) Quiz to deepen global engagement with India's heritage and achievements.

Modi noted that the Indian community in South Africa serves as a living bridge between the two nations, playing an important role in fostering goodwill and cultural exchange.
