Confederation of All India Traders–Rasna MoU Aims to Boost Indigenous Trade and MSMEs

In a significant move aligned with the vision of Atmanirbhar Bharat and Vocal for Local – Local to Global, the Confederation of All India Traders (CAIT) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Rasna in New Delhi. The partnership is being viewed as a strategic step toward strengthening Indian brands in both domestic and international markets while empowering indigenous trade networks.

The MoU was signed by CAIT National President B.C. Bhartia, Rasna Group Chairman and Managing Director Piruuz Khambatta, and Rajeev Mallik, CEO of iPoint Ventures Pvt. Ltd., in the presence of Member of Parliament from Chandni Chowk and CAIT National Secretary General Praveen Khandelwal.

Under the agreement, CAIT, Rasna Private Limited, and iPoint Ventures will collaborate across key areas including trade expansion, digital solutions, skill development, training, micro-enterprise incubation, and policy advocacy. The initiative aims to leverage CAIT’s vast network of thousands of trade associations across India to expand Rasna’s beverage and allied businesses, particularly in rural and semi-urban markets.

A major highlight of the partnership is the proposed launch of an Indian B2B digital portal. The platform will enable retailers nationwide to place orders online, directly connecting businesses and promoting Indian products through a streamlined digital ecosystem.

The collaboration also gains significance in the backdrop of the upcoming Bharatiya Vyapar Mahotsav 2026, scheduled from May 1 to 4 at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi. The event is expected to showcase India’s manufacturing strength, MSME capabilities, retail growth, and export potential on a global stage.

Leaders from both organizations emphasized that the agreement represents growing synergy between industry and trade. They expressed confidence that such partnerships will not only generate employment and strengthen the MSME sector but also help position India as a manufacturing and exporting powerhouse.

The CAIT–Rasna agreement is being seen as a forward-looking step toward building a stronger, self-reliant Indian economy.
