PM Modi Meets AI and Deeptech Startup Leaders at Seva Teerth
Startups showcase AI solutions across healthcare, agriculture, cybersecurity, and space; PM stresses data governance and India-centric innovation
New Delhi, February 20: Prime Minister Narendra Modi held a roundtable with CEOs and founders of 16 AI and deeptech startups at Seva Teerth, highlighting the role of emerging technologies in addressing large-scale challenges.
The discussions focused on AI-driven innovations across healthcare, agriculture, cybersecurity, space, and social empowerment. Startup leaders presented solutions ranging from advanced diagnostics and patient care systems to geospatial tools for improving farm productivity and managing climate risks.
The Prime Minister praised the innovators for developing impactful technologies and emphasised the need for India-focused solutions. He spoke about AI’s potential in agriculture, environmental protection, and expanding higher education in Indian languages, while also stressing strong data governance and caution against misinformation. Participants lauded India’s growing global presence in AI and described the India AI Impact Summit as a sign of the country’s rising influence in the field.
