Rajasthan Royals’ teenage sensation Vaibhav Suryavanshi continues to set the cricket world on fire with his fearless batting in IPL 2026. The 15-year-old batter created history during Rajasthan’s clash against Gujarat Titans at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur by becoming the fastest and youngest player to hit 100 sixes in T20 cricket.

Vaibhav achieved the milestone in just 29 T20 innings, breaking previous records in spectacular fashion. He also became the quickest batter to reach the landmark in terms of balls faced, completing 100 sixes in only 514 deliveries.

The young opener played a blistering knock of 36 runs off just 16 balls against Gujarat Titans, smashing three sixes and three boundaries. His aggressive innings began with a huge six off Mohammed Siraj on the very first ball he faced.

With this performance, Vaibhav also became the batter with the most sixes in the powerplay during a single IPL season. He now has 30 powerplay sixes in IPL 2026, surpassing Abhishek Sharma’s previous record of 29 sixes set in the 2024 season.

So far in IPL 2026, the youngster has scored 440 runs in 11 innings at an average of 40.00 and an explosive strike rate of 236.55, including one century and two half-centuries.

Despite Vaibhav’s explosive innings, Rajasthan Royals suffered a heavy 77-run defeat against Gujarat Titans. Batting first, Gujarat posted a massive total of 229/4, powered by captain Shubman Gill’s 84 off 44 balls and Sai Sudharsan’s 55. Rajasthan were later bowled out for 152.

Vaibhav’s fearless approach and remarkable consistency at such a young age have impressed cricket experts and fans alike, with many already calling him the next big superstar of Indian cricket.
