‘Insulting National Symbols Will No Longer Be Tolerated’: Yogi Adityanath’s Strong Message at Lucknow Tiranga Yatra
UP Chief Minister praises ‘Nation First’ approach and urges citizens to hoist the Tricolour under the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign
Ahead of India’s 80th Independence Day, a massive Tiranga Yatra was organised in Lucknow, with Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath addressing thousands of young participants.
More than 25,000–30,000 people reportedly took part in the march. Addressing the gathering, Yogi said India’s youth possess the energy and ability to overcome the challenges facing the country and need the right platform to channel that potential.
The Chief Minister praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership and highlighted decisions taken in what he described as the national interest. He also referred to changes in the Flag Code of India, saying they have made it easier for citizens to proudly display the national flag at their homes.
‘Respect the national symbols’
Yogi Adityanath stressed the importance of respecting the national flag, national anthem and national song. He said there should be no tolerance for anyone who insults India’s national symbols or the country’s national heroes.
He also criticised the Congress, claiming that citizens previously faced restrictions over displaying the Tricolour at their homes and crediting the Modi government with changing the rules.
The Chief Minister urged people to participate in the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign ahead of August 15 and ensure that the national flag is displayed with dignity and respect.
Yogi said the Tricolour represents India’s unity, development and rich heritage, and called upon the younger generation to carry forward the country’s national spirit.
The Tiranga Yatra in Lucknow was organised as part of the Independence Day celebrations and aimed to promote patriotism and public participation in the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign.
