New Delhi , March 22: Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini said the state is playing a key role in turning the vision of ‘Viksit Bharat 2047’ into reality, aligning with the aspirations outlined by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Speaking at the Viksit Badshahpur Maharally and house allotment programme in Kakrola village, Gurugram, the Chief Minister highlighted that Haryana is actively implementing development initiatives on the ground to support the national vision.

During the event, 2,709 beneficiaries were handed over keys to their newly allotted homes under housing schemes, marking a significant step towards ensuring “Housing for All.” The programme was presided over by Industries and Commerce Minister Rao Narbir Singh.

Badshahpur Emerges as a Development Model

The Chief Minister described Badshahpur as a strong example of rapid transformation. He noted that areas once lacking basic infrastructure have now witnessed significant progress due to focused governance.

Over the past 11 years, 81 development announcements were made for the region, of which 60 have been completed and 8 are currently underway. Projects worth over ₹15,000 crore have been executed, a sharp increase compared to ₹967 crore during the previous administration.

Focus on Inclusive Growth in Third Term

Reaffirming the government’s commitment to inclusive development, the Chief Minister said the third term will continue to prioritise welfare across all sections of society. Linking the housing distribution to the festive occasion of Navratri, he described it as a symbol of dignity and empowerment for beneficiaries.

He also announced future housing initiatives, including:

Construction of 23,154 houses under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Rural)

Allotment of 15,251 plots under the Mukhyamantri Shehri Awas Yojana across 16 cities

Major Infrastructure Boost for Badshahpur

Several key development projects were announced for the constituency:

Upgradation of the Farrukhnagar–Gurugram road into a four-lane highway (₹365 crore)

Construction of a community centre in Budhera village Expansion of roads in New Gurugram up to 24 metres

New water treatment plant in Tikli village

Sewerage works worth ₹88 crore Development of cremation grounds, fire stations, and rural pathways

Repair and maintenance of multiple roads with additional budget allocations

Gurugram to Lead Industrial Growth

Minister Rao Narbir Singh said Haryana is transitioning from an agrarian economy to an industrial powerhouse, with Gurugram and Manesar playing a crucial role.

He highlighted that investor-friendly policies, along with adoption of AI and digital systems, are improving transparency and ease of doing business. Development works worth ₹236 crore have already been initiated in Badshahpur since 2024.

‘Triple Engine’ Governance Accelerating Progress The minister emphasised that coordination between the Centre, State, and local bodies—termed “triple engine government”—is speeding up development.

He also announced the ‘Namo Van’ project in the Aravalli region, spread across 200 acres, aimed at boosting green cover, biodiversity, and tourism. Additionally, ₹100 crore has been allocated for maintaining urban parks and green belts.

Cultural Vibrance Marks the Event

The event witnessed enthusiastic public participation, with many attendees arriving on camels and horses, reflecting Haryana’s rich cultural heritage. Patriotic and traditional performances added to the celebratory atmosphere.

The programme underscored Haryana’s ongoing push towards infrastructure growth, inclusive welfare, and economic transformation, positioning the state as a key contributor to India’s long-term development vision
