CJP Meets Rakesh Tikait, Pushes for Joint Front of Farmers, Students and Youth

Leaders of the Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) met senior Bharatiya Kisan Union (BKU) leader Rakesh Tikait in New Delhi to discuss the formation of a joint platform bringing together farmers, students and youth for future campaigns.

The meeting was attended by CJP National Spokesperson Ashutosh Ranka and other senior party leaders. According to Ranka, the proposed alliance aims to unite different social groups to raise issues affecting farmers, students and young people across the country.

"We hope that farmers, students and the youth of this country will come together to corner the Modi government from all sides," Ranka said after the meeting.

The discussions come shortly after CJP suspended its student protest movement and indicated that it would expand its focus beyond education-related issues. The party said it now intends to address broader concerns affecting farmers and young people through a common platform.

CJP also alleged that assurances made by the Centre and some state governments during earlier protests have not been fully implemented. The party claimed that while cases against student protesters were withdrawn in states such as Bihar and West Bengal, FIRs remain in place in states including Rajasthan, with students continuing to face legal action.

Seeking support from the farmers' movement, CJP urged Tikait to back its demand for the withdrawal of pending cases against students. The party warned that if these cases are not withdrawn, it may launch a nationwide movement in collaboration with farmer organisations and youth groups.

Tikait had previously expressed support for student protesters during demonstrations at Jantar Mantar. The latest meeting is being seen as a step towards closer coordination between farmer organisations and student groups on common issues.
