Brij Bhushan’s Cryptic Post Sparks Buzz Ahead of Yogi Cabinet Expansion

Just ahead of the Uttar Pradesh cabinet expansion, former BJP MP Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh triggered fresh political speculation with a cryptic post on social media. Sharing a poetic line on X, he wrote, “Fame and glory are just momentary spectacles; the branch you sit on can break too.”

The post has drawn attention because it comes amid intense discussions around the expansion of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s cabinet. Political observers believe the message may hint at dissatisfaction over the reshuffle, especially amid reports that no major Thakur face may be included this time.

Sources suggest Brij Bhushan was keen on securing a ministerial position for his son, Prateek Singh, although no official statement was made regarding the matter. The BJP is reportedly focusing on caste and regional balance ahead of the 2027 Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections, with possible representation for Brahmin, Jat, Dalit, Pasi, Valmiki, Lodhi, and Extremely Backward Class leaders.

According to reports, up to eight ministers may take oath in the cabinet expansion, including six new faces and two promoted ministers of state.

While the BJP has not commented officially on the viral post, it has already sparked widespread discussion across Uttar Pradesh’s political landscape.
