Abhijeet Dipke Dismisses Kangana Ranaut's 'Generation Gutter' Remarks Amid Growing Political Row

A fresh political and entertainment controversy has erupted after BJP MP and actor Kangana Ranaut doubled down on her controversial remarks against student protesters and "Generation Gutter," drawing sharp reactions from political leaders and public figures.

Responding to Kangana's comments, Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) leader Abhijeet Dipke dismissed her remarks, telling ANI, "Who even takes her seriously?" His response came as criticism over Kangana's statements continued to intensify.

In a selfie video shared on social media, Kangana defended her earlier comments, saying she would not "normalise" what she described as "gutter-level, unethical, and obscene behaviour" allegedly displayed by some protesters. She argued that such conduct was unacceptable in public and should not be celebrated.

The BJP MP also claimed that parts of the media had selectively targeted her while ignoring her praise for hardworking Gen Z entrepreneurs, students, and young professionals. She said discipline and civic responsibility were essential for a healthy society, adding that freedom of expression should not come at the cost of public decency.

Referring to slogans allegedly raised against Prime Minister Narendra Modi during the protests, Kangana said many people view the Prime Minister as a leader, mentor, or even a symbol of inspiration, and therefore public discourse should remain respectful.

Meanwhile, singer-composer Vishal Dadlani voiced support for the student protesters without directly naming Kangana. In a strongly worded social media post, he criticised the alleged use of force against students and questioned those focusing solely on abusive slogans while overlooking the violence faced by protesters.

The controversy began after Kangana criticised a section of young women and protesters, referring to them as "Generation Gutter" and accusing them of promoting irresponsible behaviour. Her remarks triggered widespread backlash, with CJP spokesperson Saurav Das and several others condemning the comments.

The debate has since expanded beyond politics, sparking discussions on freedom of expression, public protest, political rhetoric, and the role of celebrities in shaping public discourse.
