On the occasion of the Jayanti of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid heartfelt tributes to the iconic Maratha ruler, describing him as a visionary leader, outstanding administrator, and a timeless champion of Swarajya.
In his message, the Prime Minister emphasised that Shivaji Maharaj’s courage continues to inspire generations, while his model of governance remains a guiding light for the nation. He noted that the legendary king’s unwavering commitment to justice and self-respect still serves as a powerful force in strengthening society.
The Prime Minister underscored that Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj consistently prioritised the welfare and protection of his people above all else. This deep dedication to public welfare, he said, is what makes Shivaji Maharaj’s life and ideals eternally relevant to India. In separate posts shared on X, the Prime Minister expressed reverence for Shivaji Maharaj’s legacy, stating that his leadership and values continue to shape the country’s collective consciousness.
“On the Jayanti of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, we bow in reverence to the visionary leader, exceptional administrator, strategic thinker and champion of Swarajya,” the Prime Minister wrote. He further added, “May his courage inspire us, his governance guide us and his spirit of justice and self-respect strengthen our society.”
