According to the IMD, the southwest monsoon is set to advance further over the next three to four days, covering parts of Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Uttarakhand, and Gujarat. The progress of the monsoon is expected to improve weather conditions and support agricultural activities in these regions.
The states under today's weather alert include Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Gujarat, Tamil Nadu, Jammu & Kashmir, Maharashtra, Assam, Karnataka, Jharkhand, and West Bengal.
The IMD has warned of intense rainfall, lightning, and gusty winds in several areas and has urged residents to follow official advisories, avoid unnecessary travel during severe weather, and take necessary precautions.
