Government Reveals ₹74.5 Crore Spent on PM Modi's Foreign Visits Since 2021
The Central Government has disclosed in Parliament that approximately ₹74.5 crore has been spent on Prime Minister Narendra Modi's official foreign visits since 2021.
The details were shared in the Rajya Sabha on Thursday in response to an unstarred question (No. 2172) raised by AAP MP Sanjay Singh and CPI(M) MP Dr. V. Sivadasan. The MPs sought year-wise expenditure on the Prime Minister's overseas visits, details of the Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) signed during those visits, and the amount of Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) received by India.
Responding on behalf of the Ministry of External Affairs, Minister of State Pabitra Margherita submitted a written reply stating that a comprehensive record of all official foreign visits undertaken by the Prime Minister since 2021, along with the total expenditure incurred, had been provided to the House.
