A tragic late-night road accident in Kota, Rajasthan, claimed three lives and left 23 passengers seriously injured after a sleeper coach bus lost control and overturned on a four-lane highway near the Hanging Bridge.

A devastating road accident near the Hanging Bridge in Kota late Wednesday night has left three people dead and 23 others seriously injured, sending shockwaves across the region.

The incident occurred on a four-lane highway near Naya Gaon under the RK Puram police station limits, when a sleeper coach bus traveling from Ahmedabad to Bhind-Morena in Madhya Pradesh lost control. According to initial reports, the bus was moving at high speed when the driver allegedly lost balance near the Hanging Bridge.

The vehicle rammed into the divider and overturned violently, crossing onto the opposite side of the road. The impact was so severe that a portion of the bus was completely crushed, leading to multiple casualties on the spot.

Hearing the cries of passengers, local residents rushed to the scene and alerted authorities. Police and emergency services promptly arrived and initiated rescue operations, shifting the injured to nearby hospitals for treatment.

Authorities are currently investigating the cause of the accident, with overspeeding suspected to be a key factor.
