8-Month-Old Baby Allegedly Forced to Drink Acid by Mother in Rajasthan’s Bhiwadi, Critical in ICU
Infant Battling for Life on Ventilator; Police Launch Investigation
A heartbreaking and shocking incident has emerged from the Bhiwadi area of Rajasthan’s Alwar district, where a mother has been accused of forcing her own 8-month-old baby girl to drink acid.
According to police, the incident took place while the child’s father was away at work, leaving only the mother and infant at home. Preliminary reports suggest that a family dispute may have triggered the incident. Authorities claim the woman allegedly took the extreme step in anger after being prevented by her husband from visiting her parental home.
After allegedly consuming the corrosive substance, the infant’s condition deteriorated rapidly. Family members rushed the baby to a nearby hospital, from where she was referred to the Alwar Children’s Hospital for advanced treatment.
Doctors treating the child said her condition remains extremely critical. The baby is currently admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and is on ventilator support, fighting for her life.
Police have launched an investigation into the matter and are questioning the woman. Further legal action will depend on the findings of the inquiry.
