World Homoeopathy Day 2026: AYUSH Ministry to Host National Forum on Sustainable Healthcare

New Delhi | April 10, 2026

The Ministry of Ayush is set to commemorate World Homoeopathy Day 2026 with a two-day interactive forum at Vigyan Bhawan, bringing together policymakers, researchers, practitioners, and global delegates to discuss the future of homoeopathy in modern healthcare systems.

The event, themed “Homoeopathy for Sustainable Health,” aims to highlight the system’s holistic, cost-effective, and environmentally sustainable approach to healthcare. It aligns with global priorities such as Universal Health Coverage and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, particularly SDG 3 focused on Good Health and Well-being.

Union Minister Prataprao Jadhav will inaugurate the forum, alongside Rajesh Kotecha and other senior officials. The programme is being organised by the Central Council for Research in Homoeopathy and will showcase advancements in research, policy, and public health initiatives related to homoeopathy.

Key discussions will focus on scientific validation, ethical standards, and integration of homoeopathy into mainstream healthcare. Sessions will also address its role in preventive care, management of chronic diseases, and reducing dependency on conventional medicines.

Amid rising healthcare costs and challenges like antimicrobial resistance, the forum will emphasize homoeopathy’s potential as a sustainable medical system with minimal ecological impact. The event is expected to strengthen India’s leadership in traditional medicine and foster collaboration for a more inclusive and resilient healthcare ecosystem.
