Prime Minister Narendra Modi met Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni in Rome, Italy, during his official visit, marking another step toward strengthening bilateral ties between the two nations.

Sharing photographs from the meeting on social media, PM Modi revealed that he had the opportunity to meet Prime Minister Meloni over dinner soon after arriving in Rome. The two leaders also visited the iconic Colosseum, one of Italy’s most famous historical landmarks.

In a post, PM Modi wrote, “Upon arriving in Rome, I had the opportunity to meet Prime Minister Meloni over dinner, following which we visited the famous Colosseum. We exchanged views on several issues.”

The Prime Minister further expressed optimism about future discussions, stating that he was eagerly looking forward to continuing talks focused on ways to further strengthen the friendship and cooperation between India and Italy.

The meeting is being viewed as an important diplomatic engagement, reflecting the growing partnership between New Delhi and Rome across strategic, economic, and cultural sectors.
