New Delhi :The Ministry of Foreign Affairs Bangladesh has expressed deep concern over the recent attacks on Iran and their potential impact on regional stability and Bangladeshi nationals living abroad.
In a press release issued on Sunday, the ministry said Bangladesh remains seriously concerned about the safety and security of its citizens residing in Iran. The government emphasized that continued hostilities could further endanger regional peace, stability, and the well-being of civilian populations.
Bangladesh called on all concerned parties to exercise maximum restraint and return to diplomatic dialogue to resolve differences. The statement warned that escalation would only worsen tensions and increase risks across West Asia.
The ministry also condemned violations of sovereignty involving several countries in the region, including Bahrain, Iraq, Jordan, Kuwait, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates. It stressed the importance of respecting territorial integrity and international law.
Dhaka expressed hope that calm would prevail at the earliest and that peace, security, and stability would be restored across the region soon.
The statement comes amid rising tensions in West Asia following recent military developments involving Iran, which have triggered international reactions and concerns over broader regional consequences.
