Baloch Leaders Declare Independence From Pakistan, Seek UN Recognition

Baloch nationalist leaders have announced what they describe as the independence of Balochistan from Pakistan, calling on the international community to recognise the region as an independent state. The declaration comes amid long-standing tensions over alleged violence, enforced disappearances and human rights violations in Balochistan.
