Haryana CM Nayab Singh Saini Dismisses Rumours of LPG, Petrol and Diesel Shortage

The Chief Minister of Haryana, Nayab Singh Saini, has assured residents that the supply of domestic LPG, petrol and diesel in the state remains completely normal despite rumours of shortages circulating amid tensions in the Middle East.

Addressing concerns over possible disruption in fuel supply, the Chief Minister stated that reports claiming domestic LPG supply was being affected due to war-like conditions in the Middle East were baseless. He emphasized that the state currently has sufficient stock of LPG and other fuels, and there is no cause for concern.

The statement came after a review meeting held with senior officials of the Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Department along with representatives of major oil companies. During the meeting, oil companies assured the government that adequate stock of petroleum products is available in the state and that LPG supplies are continuing without interruption.

Officials also informed that the distribution of commercial LPG cylinders has been arranged with priority for essential services such as hospitals, educational institutions and other critical facilities. Oil companies are also making continuous efforts to ensure smooth and timely supply across the state.

The Chief Minister has directed all Deputy Commissioners and Superintendents of Police to maintain strict vigilance and take immediate action against any cases of theft, black marketing or hoarding of fuel and LPG cylinders.

Appealing to the public, Saini urged residents not to panic or store fuel unnecessarily and to avoid believing rumours. He reaffirmed that the state government remains fully alert and committed to ensuring uninterrupted LPG supply to every household in Haryana.
