In a major relief for millions of salaried employees, the Employees' Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) will begin crediting interest into Provident Fund (PF) accounts from tomorrow.
According to the latest information, the interest credit process will be completed within the next 15 days, benefiting nearly 7 crore active EPF account holders across the country.
For the financial year 2025-26, EPFO has fixed the interest rate on Employees' Provident Fund deposits at 8.25%. The interest amount will be calculated based on this approved rate and credited directly to eligible subscribers' PF accounts.
Subscribers are not required to submit any application or complete any additional formalities to receive the interest. Once processed, the amount will automatically reflect in their EPF accounts.
The annual interest credit is a significant benefit for salaried employees, helping their retirement savings grow through compounded returns. EPFO members can check their updated PF balance through the EPFO portal, the UMANG app, or by using the SMS and missed-call services after the interest is credited.
