Uproar in Lok Sabha as Rahul Gandhi’s ‘Magician’ Remark Sparks Heated Exchange

New Delhi, April 18: A heated exchange erupted in the Lok Sabha on Friday during the ongoing debate on delimitation and women’s reservation, after Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi made an indirect remark targeting the Prime Minister by referring to a “magician” in his speech.

While addressing the House, Gandhi began narrating a “story of a magician,” which triggered strong reactions from treasury bench members, leading to significant disruption and uproar.

Intervening in the situation, Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla urged Gandhi to maintain parliamentary decorum. He reminded the Leader of Opposition of his responsibility to uphold the dignity of the House and conduct discussions within established norms.
