Muslim Cleric Alleges Massive Irregularities in Waqf Boards, Seeks Probe

Amid the ongoing controversy over the alleged theft of donations at the Ram Temple, All India Muslim Jamaat President Maulana Shahabuddin Razvi Barelvi has alleged large-scale irregularities in the functioning of the Sunni and Shia Waqf Boards.

Addressing a press conference in Bareilly, Razvi claimed that while the alleged Ram Temple donation controversy involves crores of rupees, the alleged scam related to Waqf properties could amount to "billions and trillions." He asserted that a fair and transparent investigation into the Waqf Boards would reveal a much larger scandal.

The cleric also criticised Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav, alleging that despite his vocal criticism of the Ram Temple donation issue, the biggest irregularities in the Waqf Boards took place during Samajwadi Party governments.

Maulana Razvi said he has written to Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, requesting a thorough investigation into both the Sunni and Shia Waqf Boards. He also called for strict action against those allegedly involved in the illegal dealings of Waqf properties during previous state governments.

The allegations have been made by Maulana Shahabuddin Razvi, and no official investigation or findings confirming these claims have been announced so far.
