According to reports, Siddaramaiah is expected to submit his resignation at Lok Bhavan in the afternoon. However, with the Governor currently out of Bengaluru due to a family emergency, the resignation is likely to be handed over to the Governor’s private secretary or Raj Bhavan Secretariat.

In a significant development, Siddaramaiah has reportedly proposed Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar’s name as his successor. While Shivakumar is widely expected to become Karnataka’s next Chief Minister, the final decision will be approved during the Congress Legislature Party (CLP) meeting scheduled for Friday evening in Bengaluru.
