Former Supreme Court Judge Markandey Katju Launches ‘Ishq Karo Party’, Invites Mahua Moitra to Join
Justice Markandey Katju says the newly formed party aims to address India’s pressing issues through a unique political approach.
After the “Cockroach Janata Party (CJP)” grabbed headlines, former Supreme Court judge Justice Markandey Katju has announced the formation of a new political outfit called the ‘Ishq Karo Party’.
According to Justice Katju, the newly launched party is a “serious attempt” to address some of the major challenges facing India. While unveiling the idea behind the party, Katju suggested that promoting love, harmony, and social understanding could help tackle deep-rooted issues in the country.
Adding a political twist to the announcement, Katju also extended an invitation to Trinamool Congress (TMC) MP Mahua Moitra to join the newly formed party. His proposal quickly drew attention on social media and political circles, given Mahua Moitra’s prominent position in national politics and her outspoken political style.
Justice Katju, known for his outspoken remarks on political and social issues even after retirement, has often generated debate through his unconventional views and public commentary.
The announcement of the ‘Ishq Karo Party’ has sparked curiosity, with many questioning whether it is a symbolic political statement, satire, or the beginning of a serious political initiative.
