Amit Shah to Unveil BJP’s West Bengal Manifesto on April 10; Focus on Welfare and Economic Support
Union Home Minister Amit Shah is set to unveil the Bharatiya Janata Party’s (Bharatiya Janata Party) manifesto for the upcoming West Bengal elections
Union Home Minister Amit Shah is set to unveil the Bharatiya Janata Party’s (Bharatiya Janata Party) manifesto for the upcoming West Bengal elections on April 10, signaling the party’s strategic push to strengthen its position in the state.
According to party sources, the manifesto is expected to emphasize key welfare measures aimed at addressing financial concerns of government employees, women, and unemployed youth. One of the major promises includes clearing pending Dearness Allowance (DA) arrears within 45 days if the party comes to power. This move is likely to resonate with state government employees who have been demanding parity with central pay scales.
In a significant outreach to women voters, the BJP is expected to announce a monthly financial assistance of ₹3,000 under the Lakshmir Bhandar scheme—substantially higher than the existing benefits. The proposal aims to position the party as a strong alternative to the current welfare model in the state.
Additionally, the manifesto is set to include a provision of ₹3,000 per month for unemployed youth, targeting one of the most critical voter segments ahead of the elections. This promise is seen as an effort to tackle rising concerns over job opportunities and economic stability in the region.
The announcement by Amit Shah is likely to set the tone for the BJP’s campaign in West Bengal, where it is aiming to expand its political footprint and challenge the incumbent government led by Mamata Banerjee.
With a focus on direct benefit schemes and economic relief, the BJP’s manifesto is expected to intensify the political contest in the state as parties gear up for a high-stakes electoral battle.
