The Vice President of India, Shri C. P. Radhakrishnan, has conveyed his best wishes on the commencement of the India AI Impact Summit being held at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi. In a message shared through social media, the Vice President highlighted India’s growing leadership in shaping a people-first and democratic future for artificial intelligence.
Referring to the Summit’s theme, “Sarvajana Hitaya, Sarvajana Sukhaya,” he noted that the vision aptly reflects India’s commitment to harnessing AI for the welfare and happiness of all. He emphasised that India’s AI approach prioritises public good, accessibility, and global cooperation, positioning the country as a bridge between the technological strengths of the Global North and the scale and opportunities of the Global South.
Underscoring the importance of responsible innovation, the Vice President recalled Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s remarks at the AI Action Summit in Paris last year. Quoting the Prime Minister, he reiterated that while some may worry about machines surpassing human intelligence, the collective future remains firmly in human hands. He stressed that AI must remain human-centric and guided by responsibility.
The Vice President expressed confidence that the Summit will foster meaningful dialogue and collaboration, and wished the India AI Impact Summit grand success.
