New Delhi: Union Home Minister and Minister of Cooperation Amit Shah on Thursday paid tribute to the great revolutionary Chandrashekhar Azad on his death anniversary, remembering his courage and sacrifice in India’s freedom movement.
In a post on X, Shah said that chanting “Vande Mataram” until his last breath, Azad fought valiantly against British rule and remained invincible in spirit.
Highlighting Azad’s role in key revolutionary activities such as the Kakori train action and the formation of the Hindustan Socialist Republican Association (HSRA), the Home Minister said that every moment of his life was devoted to the cause of India’s independence.
Shah noted that Azad not only participated in historic actions but also worked towards building a strong and organized revolutionary movement against colonial rule.
“Remembering his saga of sacrifice still fills us with patriotism,” he said, adding that the nation continues to draw inspiration from Azad’s bravery and unwavering commitment to freedom.
Chandrashekhar Azad is remembered as one of the most prominent revolutionaries of India’s independence struggle, whose legacy continues to inspire generations.
