A tragic incident was reported from Ambehta in Uttar Pradesh’s Saharanpur, where 110 sheep died after being attacked by a pack of stray dogs. The incident caused a financial loss of more than ₹15 lakh to the livestock owner.

According to reports, local shepherd Pritam Pal had kept his sheep inside an enclosure located outside the town. On Wednesday night, due to bad weather conditions, he decided to sleep in a room built near the enclosure.

During the night, a group of stray dogs allegedly entered the premises and attacked the sheep. The dogs brutally mauled several animals, leaving many severely injured and covered in blood. Officials and locals said that many sheep also died due to panic and shock caused by the sudden attack.

The heartbreaking incident left the shepherd and his family devastated. Family members were seen crying inconsolably after witnessing the massive loss of livestock.

Residents of the area have demanded action from the administration to control the growing menace of stray dogs and provide compensation to the affected family.
