Haryana Health Department Takes Major Action, Ballabgarh Government Hospital SMO Suspended
Suspension follows earlier action against pharmacist over employment of outsider in hospital pharmacy
The Haryana Health Department has taken major disciplinary action by suspending the Senior Medical Officer (SMO) of the government hospital in Ballabgarh, Dr. T.C. Gidhwal.
According to reports, the suspension comes amid allegations related to irregularities in the hospital’s functioning. Officials claimed that an outsider had reportedly been assigned the responsibility of distributing medicines to patients — a task typically reserved for authorized hospital staff.
This is not the first action taken by the department in connection with the matter. Earlier, pharmacist Brajesh Yadav from the same government hospital was also suspended after allegations surfaced that an external individual had been allowed to work in the hospital pharmacy.
The latest move against the SMO suggests the department is intensifying accountability measures within the public healthcare system. Authorities are reportedly investigating how an unauthorized person was allowed to be involved in medicine distribution at a government facility.
The incident has sparked concerns over hospital management and patient safety, with the health department taking a strict stance against procedural lapses.
