Iran Launches Missile Barrage on Israel as Middle East Conflict Escalates
Dozens injured and buildings damaged after hundreds of missiles fired toward Israeli cities.
The conflict between Iran and Israel has intensified after Iran launched a large missile barrage targeting several Israeli cities. According to reports, more than 200 missiles were fired toward Israel, with some striking residential areas and causing damage to buildings.
Emergency services reported that several people were injured when one missile hit a building in central Israel near Tel Aviv. Rescue teams rushed to the scene as debris scattered across nearby streets and residents were evacuated from the affected structures.
Israel’s air defence system intercepted many of the incoming missiles, but some managed to get through, leading to damage in several areas. Air raid sirens were heard across multiple cities as authorities urged citizens to move to bomb shelters.
The missile barrage came amid the ongoing military confrontation that began after joint U.S.–Israeli strikes on Iranian targets earlier this year. Since the conflict began, the exchange of attacks has caused casualties on both sides and raised fears of a wider regional war.
However, there is currently no credible confirmation from major news organisations that 200 Israelis were killed in a single building, as some viral social media posts claim. Verified reports so far indicate injuries and smaller numbers of fatalities in specific incidents.
International leaders have called for restraint as the situation continues to escalate, warning that further attacks could destabilize the entire Middle East.
