UP Government Declares ‘Krishnavataram Part 1: The Heart’ Tax-Free

The Uttar Pradesh government has declared the recently released film Krishnavataram Part 1: The Heart tax-free in the state. The announcement was made by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath after watching a special screening of the movie at Lok Bhavan in Lucknow.

The screening was attended by several top leaders, including Governor Anandiben Patel, Deputy Chief Ministers Keshav Prasad Maurya and Brajesh Pathak, along with other ministers and senior officials.

The film, based on religious and cultural themes, revolves around the life and teachings of Lord Krishna. According to the state government, movies rooted in Indian culture and Sanatan traditions can play an important role in connecting the younger generation with the country’s heritage and spiritual values.

Officials said the government has also directed district authorities to organise special screenings of the film across Uttar Pradesh. The aim is to help children and young people understand the story of Lord Krishna and gain deeper insight into Indian traditions and cultural heritage.

The decision to make the film tax-free is expected to reduce ticket prices for audiences in the state and encourage more people to watch it in theatres.

The move reflects the Uttar Pradesh government’s continued emphasis on promoting Indian mythology, spirituality, and cultural narratives through cinema and public initiatives.
