Mahindra to Hike Prices of Non-Electric SUVs, Commercial Vehicles by Up to 2.5%

Mahindra & Mahindra has announced a price hike of up to 2.5% on its non-electric SUVs and commercial vehicles, as the company moves to offset rising input and operational costs.

The revision will apply to select models powered by internal combustion engines (ICE), with the extent of the increase varying depending on the vehicle type and variant. The updated prices are expected to come into effect soon.

The automaker attributed the decision to sustained pressure from higher raw material costs, logistics expenses, and overall inflationary trends impacting the automotive sector.

Industry analysts note that such price adjustments have become common across manufacturers, as companies attempt to maintain margins while continuing investments in new technologies and product development.

Despite the increase, Mahindra remains optimistic about demand, particularly in the SUV segment, which has seen strong growth in recent years.

The move comes amid a broader trend in the auto industry, where multiple companies have revised prices in response to cost challenges, even as they accelerate their transition toward electric mobility.
